Let's begin the day again by checking over yesterday's work on parallelograms and triangles.

Learning Standard for Today : 6.G.A.1 Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other
shapes; know and apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and
mathematical problems.

We will continue to take notes on finding area.  Today we are discussing trapezoid and kites.  Both of these have different strategies to find the area.  I am going to give you one way in your notes.  Write the notes below on the same page that you took notes yesterday.  In the video, I will discuss some other methods.  You can choose what works best for you.  Remember you do not have to send me your work that you do along with the video.  It is just for you to practice.
