Course Syllabus

ATTENDANCE UPDATE:  AS OF TODAY, AUGUST 31, 2020,  ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN TO THIS CANVAS CLASS EVERY SINGLE DAY! IF YOU ARE NOT MAKING CONTACT WITH ME EVERYDAY - YOU WILL BE COUNTED ABSENT.   SPREAD THE WORD!  

Black Knight Choir (Vocal Music) Course description:

Black Knight Choir is the beginning level chorus at CDHS.  During this year, our curriculum will be different.  However, we will focus on the fundamentals of music education.  Music theory, history and literature will be addressed.  Additionally, considerable time is spent on methods and technique. 

Assessments

1. Quiz: There are quizzes in each module. You will have 2-3 attempts to retake each quiz. The highest score will be recorded. 

2. Test: You will choose one out of three sets of test to download, write and submit for grade.

3.  This is a performance based class.  We are working to become better musicians and singers.  Be aware that you will be asked to submit video and audio recordings of yourself participating in vocal exercises and activities.  

Communication

Zoom meetings will be held weekly to give students the opportunity to connect with the teach to ask questions and share information.  Additionally, students may reach out using the Daily Check In forms, REMIND messages and email.  angee.woody@gcstn.org
