Assignment Instructions

  • You will go to the  Project Implicit website  Links to an external site. and take one of the IAT tests of your choice.  Each test takes about 10-15 mins.
  • Once you have finished the test, you will complete a 1 paragraph personal reflection about your beliefs and attitudes. 
  • Your paragraph needs to address the following: 
    • The subject of your IAT test and your score (please respond in 1 sentence)
    • How you feel about your score (do you feel it was accurate, why or why not?) (please respond in 2-3 sentences)
    • Identify your biases and their origins. Discuss either the group you have biases for/against and where you think these feelings and attitudes might come from (for example, you had a specific experience/event happen, your family taught you these ideas, your religion, where you live, your gender, or your job, etc). Include specific examples (please respond in 2-3 sentences)
    • Challenge your biases. What can you do to create stronger relationships with these particular groups (please respond in 1-2 sentences)
